27th Annual Conference of the Canadian Biomaterials Society

Quebec City, May 20-23 2009, Laval University

This year, we were honoured by the presence of more than 200 researchers from more than 15 countries. We have had a record number of more than 160 presentations, including three keynote lectures by leaders in the broad field of biomaterials and eleven invited talks by worldwide expert in disciplines at the frontier with biomaterials science. The conference also featured two major events; the general meeting of the CBS and the interactive debate on the future of biomaterials in the era of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.

Social programs susceptible to facilitate exchange and networking were nicely passed. Opening reception was very enjoyable for meeting old and new friends under a live music atmosphere. The student of the organizing committee suscessfully organized a friendly soccer tournament and a rally which took us to the heart of the Quebec's history and culture. A Galla Dinner attended by all participants was nicely held on Louis Jolliet boat cruising the St-Lawrence River during the beautiful sunset time.
